“Love keeps no record of wrongs”

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, _______________________________________.

ICEBREAKER——How many times will you tell your kids to take out the trash, mow the lawn, etc… if they don’t do it?

APPLY THE BIBLE  - Read 1 John 1:9 Do you need to forgive yourself for something that you have done? How does this verse give you encouragement for forgiving yourself?

Q1—Why is it important for you to forgive other people, even if they don’t ask you for it? ?

Q2— Describe a time when you have forgiven someone. How did this make you feel? What changed in you as a result of forgiveness ? .

Q3—. Pastor Paul made the statement : “The people who will hurt you the most in life, are the people that you love the most, the people you’ve trusted the most, and the people you’ve helped the most.” How does that apply to your life?

Q4—How could extending forgiveness heal a relationship? How might it heal the other person? How might it heal you?


· Right now, decide to accept God's grace to forgive all who have sinned against you in any way. Say: "By God's grace, I decide to forgive ___ for ___." Fill in the blanks and repeat this statement until you have forgiven everyone who has ever offended you. Then thank Jesus forever for the miracle of forgiveness.

·  CHANCE TO SERVE   ---   Have you and your group determined how you will serve during LOVE WEEK? Discuss what kinds of events would fit your Group. Yes, you can participate in more than one outreach if that works for your Group! Thank you for your hearts of compassion towards our “neighbors.”
